As a Christian blogger, I hear from many women weary from the weight of their responsibilities – sisters in Christ losing heart from the daily strains of life and hungry for deeper knowledge of God.
Through my own struggles in motherhood and ultimately by the Holy Spirit’s leading, I kept returning to the same thought: we as women need to keep our focus on God’s glory. That’s the pivotal secret to persevering day in and day out, to realizing joy in Christ’s calling for our lives.
At the same time, my prayer life was languishing. Beyond requests, what should I pray for? I had been encouraged to praise the Lord in prayer, but how should I do so? I knew this was a key ingredient for thriving faith.
That’s why I started writing Adoring His Attributes, to start knowing and exalting His infinite greatness, not just during Sunday morning worship but daily in prayer.
I needed to dig deep into the character of Christ and glory in the God I serve – the very God I would spend eternity with – and ask other women to join me, and let it change our lives.
