A few weeks ago I praised God for the worldwide web. Why? On a causal evening when I was swept up in my to-do list, I received an email from Singapore. Yes, Singapore. That city-state island off the coast of Malaysia, thousands and thousands of miles away, entered our little apartment through my inbox and reminded me that my faith is so much bigger than me. Bigger than my home, than my church here in LA, than America.
God is at work in every nation.
“And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find Him…” Acts 17:26-27
He has been building His church beyond any borders since He gave the Great Commission:
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
There are beloved brothers and sisters in Christ around the globe seeking to follow the Lord just as I am. In their own unique language, culture, and geography Christians are praying, reading the Word, worshipping, and living out their saving belief in Jesus in a world increasingly against it.
It’s mind-blowing, and worth pausing and praising God about. One of the 5 daily ways I pray for the universal church is lifting up believers in other countries, especially ones where persecution is high.
So who was this email from? The faith-based, inspirational goods shop The Commandment Co.: “based in sunny Singapore where the sun shines hot and brightly – reminding us daily of what it means to be God’s light; to be on fire for Him and to shine in the darkest places.”
Their mission is to design gifts and decor that to encourage, especially those are struggling or weary.
They kindly asked me to honestly review a few of their wonderfully-crafted products as part of their effort to spread the word about their designs, and I gladly agreed.
I received a Scripture pillow, nightlight, and gold-foil stationary, and loved them all!

Beautiful In His Time Cushion Cover
Made with thick velvety material, the pillow cover states “He has made everything beautiful in his time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11a) on both sides. The blue-marbled background gives a pop of color to my living room, and it’s a perfect message as we wait upon the Lord during my daughter’s fight against leukemia.
Come to Me Night Light
By far my favorite item to receive and review is the LED-lit frame inscribed with the verse from Jesus in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me and I will give you rest.” I hadn’t seen any thing like it!
With a simple USB plug and metal rod stand, it currently sits on our little living room bookcase. My kids now ask me to turn it on every night (and sometimes in the middle of the day). No matter what hour it shines bright and beckons me to slow down and seek Jesus.
The only draw back is the wooden frame is not painted – but I’m considering staining it myself a darker color to match my room. An easy fix!
Gold-Foil Scripture Stationary
Lastly, The Commandment Co. also sent a set of cards from their Sixth Collection. Not only do they have a sturdy paper weight, stunning images of God’s creation, and absolutely lovely gold accents, they can work two ways – as stand alone postcards or as cards placed inside envelopes (which are included).
Each card has a Bible verse for special life occasions or to edify someone. I’m grateful to have these on hand to send to loved ones or give to church members as opportunities arise. They’re so pretty I’m considering hanging them around the house until they’re used!
Friends, this is truly a shop of beautifully-designed, faith-filled goodies! I encourage you to explore their full store, which includes jewelry, posters, banners, tote bags, notebooks, and much more.
Although international shipping rates apply if you’re not in Singapore, don’t forget to use my code DANIELLE10 for 10% off or share it with others!
